New Standard GB

New changes in regulations have been implemented for CEL certifications. On May 29, 2020 it was announced that the new standard GB-18613-2020 will come into effect on June 1, 2021, replacing the previous standards GB 18613-2012 and GB 25985-2010 (Minimum Allowable Values of Energy Efficiency and Values of Efficiency Grades for Motors).

This standard specifies the minimum allowable values of energy efficiency grades, as well as the minimum values of energy efficiency and test methods for three-phase single-phase induction motors and the motors for fans of air-conditioning systems.

The new GB standard GB-18613-2020 is relevant for CEL (China Energy Label), as it redefines energy efficiency as well as the scope of motors to be certified.
